1. Who we are
Budelo is an ELO-based sports ranking tracker. The data controller for personal data processed through Budelo is the operator of this service. For data requests, contact us via the support options in the app.
2. What data we collect
- Account data: email address, display name, and avatar URL, provided at registration via your identity provider.
- Match history: match results, opponents, dates, and ELO changes for each match you participate in.
- ELO records: a time-series of your ELO rating within each group you belong to.
- Group membership: the groups you are a member of, your role, and your statistics within each group.
- Billing data: if you purchase a premium subscription, Stripe processes your payment details on our behalf (we do not store card numbers).
3. Why we collect it
We collect and process your data to provide the Budelo service: ranking players, tracking matches, and maintaining leaderboards. The legal basis is the performance of the contract between you and Budelo (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.
4. How long we keep it
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your email address and display name are immediately anonymised and your Keycloak credentials are removed. Match history entries are retained in anonymised form so that group leaderboards remain consistent.
5. Your rights
Under GDPR you have the following rights. You can exercise most of them directly from within the app:
- Access (Art. 15): export all your personal data from your Profile page.
- Rectification (Art. 16): update your display name at any time from your Profile page.
- Erasure (Art. 17): delete your account from your Profile page, which triggers immediate anonymisation.
- Portability (Art. 20): download a machine-readable JSON export of your data from your Profile page.
- Objection / restriction (Art. 18, 21): contact us through the app.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
6. Third-party services
- Keycloak: handles authentication. Your credentials are stored in our Keycloak instance at kc.budelo.com.
- Stripe: handles payment processing for premium subscriptions. Stripe's privacy policy applies to data shared with them.
